So, I said I was abandoning Blogger, but it turns out I just needed to be a bit more persistent. The built-in blog on freewebs was a little limited in its feature set; most notably, there was no way of exporting the posts to another blogging client. The long story short about that is that if I ever wanted to use a different blogging site, like LiveJournal or WordPress, or anything like that, it would be a HUGE hassle to do that. So I decided to give Blogger another try. It turns out that with a little bit of work, it's perfectly workable. So I'm here to stay at Blogger.
In any case, I AM going to stick with freewebs as my sort of homepage. So that remains as http://www.freewebs.com/willinvn/
